Virtual Panel Discussion: The “Cost” of Ontario’s Recovery

On Wednesday October 28th from 12:30-2pm, Osgoode’s Environmental Justice & Sustainability Clinic and the MES/JD Joint Program are hosting a virtual panel discussion titled The “Cost” of Ontario’s Recovery: Indigenous and Environmental Perspectives on Bill 197, The COVID-19 Economic Recovery Act.  Panelists will discuss what is wrong with the Bill, why they felt it is important to challenge it, and what they hope to get out of the judicial review process.

Panelists are Alvin Fiddler, Grand Chief, Nishnawbe Aski Nation, Jacynthe Ledoux, OKT, representing a collective of Ontario First Nations and Indigenous organizations, Priyanka Vittal, Counsel for Greenpeace Canada, and David Estrin, Counsel for the Canadian Environmental Law Association (CELA).
